Haulover Beach, located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, is known for its official clothing-optional section, making it one of the largest public nudist beaches in the United States.

The designated nude area covers about 0.4 miles of sandy shoreline, clearly marked and supported by amenities such as lifeguards, restrooms, and rental services for beach chairs and umbrellas.

The beach attracts a diverse crowd, including locals and international visitors, and has a vibrant social scene, especially popular among the LGBTQ+ community near the northern end of the nude section.

Beyond the nude beach, Haulover Park offers a variety of recreational facilities including picnic areas, tennis courts, a marina, and a golf course. Visitors can also enjoy kite flying in spacious grassy areas adjacent to the beach.

The park is framed by the Intracoastal Waterway on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other, providing scenic views and opportunities for various water activities. Haulover Beach operates daily from sunrise to sunset, with parking available nearby.

How to get there

By public transport:

Take Miami-Dade Transit bus 100 (formerly “S”) to the Collins Ave & Haulover Marina or Lifeguard B stop – about a 5-minute walk. The free Miami Beach Trolley also stops nearby.

By car:

Drive via I-95 to the beach; parking is metered and fills early, especially on weekends.

By rideshare/taxi:

Trips from South or Downtown Miami cost around $35–$45.

By foot/bike:

You can take the free Miami Beach Trolley or bike along Collins Ave; bike racks available at the beach entrance.
