Praia Massarandupió

A long, palm‑lined Atlantic coast beach in northern Bahia featuring 16 km of pristine sand—with a 2‑km official naturist section—surrounded by dunes, streams, and coconut groves

Beach overview

Praia de Massarandupió is a peaceful beach in Brazil that stretches for about 16 kilometers. It has soft, curving sand, big coconut trees, sand dunes, and native plants. Behind the beach, small rivers and mangroves flow into the ocean, creating pretty pools of water and a mix of land and sea views.

Part of the beach—about 2 kilometers—is officially for naturism (nudity is required in this area), and it's managed by a local group called AMANAT. There are clear rules: no clothes in the nude section, no photos, and you have to respect the environment.

Along the beach, you’ll find simple little food stands, like the well-known Barraca do Patrício. They sell fresh seafood, snacks, drinks, and give you a shady place to relax. One of the stands is even built over a river, where the water is calm and great for swimming.

This beach is perfect for people who love nature. You can take long walks, watch birds, and enjoy amazing sunsets. Even during busy times, the beach stays quiet and feels like a hidden getaway.
